MOT, Service, Diagnostics and Repairs

Your car will be looked after by our team of fully qualified, factory-trained technicians, experienced in servicing all Jaguar and Land Rover models, working from a 10,000 square foot workshop equipped with the very latest technology.

We are approved to carry out Jaguar and Land Rover Extended Warranty and Jaguar and Land Rover Used Approved warranty repairs. We have full factory diagnostics with online support, and we only use genuine manufacturer parts or original equipment alternatives in our servicing work.

We’re able to offer service options ranging from standard, scheduled services as specified by your vehicle’s manufacturer, to services tailored to address your specific requirements and budget. You’ll find everyone in our team helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, happy to discuss your car and your requirements in plain English, or in more technical detail if you prefer.

Looking after our customers as well as we look after their cars has earned us a loyal following of Jaguar and Land Rover drivers who prefer the more personal servicing experience we provide.

We offer a full range of workshop services including:

  • All engine, drivetrain, brakes, steering, suspension and other mechanical repairs – from minor repairs to an engine or transmission rebuild
  • Electrical work – faultfinding, repairs, even a new wiring loom if needed
  • Chassis and bulkhead welding or replacement
  • Recommissioning of vehicles which have been stored out of use
  • Diagnostics – We are fully equipped with Dealer Level Diagnostics using Jaguar Land Rover’s SDD and Pathfinder enabling us to work on the very latest models.

Garages or even specialists without JLR Pathfinder will not even be able to reset the service indicator on post 2017 models never mind fault code read or programming. MPB 4×4 have invested in the correct equipment to make sure we can.


If your vehicle is still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty we would recommend that you have it serviced in line with the manufacturer’s specified service. Provided your vehicle is serviced and maintained in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions during the manufacturer’s warranty period, you have the right to have the work undertaken by an independent garage without affecting your warranty. MPB 4×4 will ensure your vehicle is serviced in accordance with their instructions and your warranty will remain valid as we use genuine manufacturer’s parts and the correct oils and fluids. All work is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s schedule, to the same specification as a main dealer. With the very latest in Autologic & Pathfinder diagnostics equipment and Jaguar Land Rover trained Technicians on hand we are well placed to keep you on the road. We are approved by Jaguar Land Rover to update online service history on the latest models and we are also an approved Jaguar Land Rover Used Vehicle Warranty Repairer.


Very few of the larger dealers and specialists are interested in working on vehicles more than a few years old – but these older vehicles are as important to us as any other Jaguar Land Rover Model, so you can be assured that we will do the job properly and not rush it. Bring us your brand new Jaguar, Range Rover or beloved Discovery or Freelander or hard-worked Defender and we will treat it with as much respect and attention to detail as you would expect from any main dealer, except we will be at least half the price.

MPB 4×4 Servicing offers three levels of menu servicing for vehicles out of Dealer Warranty.

• “A” Interim Service
For well-maintained, regularly serviced vehicles.
This service covers 30 checks including an oil and filter change, pollen or air filter if required by the manufacturers schedule and a general health check of the main components on your car.

• “B” Full Service
A comprehensive service which includes the replacement of engine oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter and fuel filter and an extensive range of 48 checks to ensure optimum running of your vehicle.

• “C” Super Service
A comprehensive service covering everything included in the “B” Service. Also includes axle differential and transfer box oil changes, brake fluid and coolant changed.

The above descriptions are only recommendations based on general circumstances. On receiving your vehicle in the workshop your MPB Service technician may advise you that a variation on your selected service is necessary. Moreover if you are unsure that you have selected the correct service we would advise that you speak to MPB 4×4 prior to your booking.

The above is not a complete list but gives you a good idea of what you get for each level of service. If you have recently bought a vehicle with no history we would recommend a “B” Full Service as a minimum, and also a new timing belt if its history is unknown.

Our workshop is located in Keighley, West Yorkshire – see contact page  for details. Normal opening hours are 8am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am – 1pm Saturday, but if you want to drop your vehicle off earlier or collect it later (or at the weekend) we can normally accommodate this.  Callers are welcome but if you are travelling any distance we would suggest you ring first to make sure we are available to assist you.

Payment – cash, credit or debit card or direct bank transfer are all acceptable. A detailed invoice will be given for all work done.
